Let's get started! ## Guyana Cross Buns Recipe ##### Ingredients * 2 cups all-purpose flour * 2 tablespoons sugar * 1 teaspoon salt * 1 teaspoon baking powder * 1/4 teaspoon baking soda * 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg * 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon * 1/3 cup cold butter * 2/3 cup buttermilk * 2/3 cup raisins * 1/2 cup chopped pecans * 1 egg ##### Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. 2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg and cinnamon. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the buttermilk, raisins and pecans. 3. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for 1-2 minutes. 4. Roll the dough into a 12-inch circle.
