Ingredients
- 2 cups long-grain white rice
- 1 can (14-ounce) coconut milk
- 1 can (14-ounce) condensed milk
- 1 can (14-ounce) evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
- In a medium pot, combine the rice, coconut milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, raisins, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Simmer the mixture for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture is thick.
- Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the butter and lemon juice. Cover the pot and let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
Arroz con dulce is best served warm or at room temperature. You can store it in the refrigerator for up to a week. Enjoy!
